If you are unfamiliar with the name Tina Engler then you might know her as Jaid Black. Tina Engler is the creator and fellow author of Ellorascave. Until recently Ms. Engler says she never advertised the site, people just find it on their own. Now that makes me wonder how I found the website, but it’s been much to long to remember.
It was more than four years and there weren’t very much ebooks as of yet. The very first book I read I can remember. It was from Ms. Jaid Black herself and is called “The Empresses New Clothes”. A romantic, erotic, sci-fi story, which has many sequels and years later many anxious fans are still waiting for the other sequels that are planned.
Over the years the books are better than ever and there are many more authors than ever. Not surprising considering that in 2004 Tina Engler’s business went from small time to 1 million a year in sales.
The website is primarily ebooks but they have now started offering large print paperback, I think for the more popular stories. You can find Ellorascave’s store on Ebay or check out bookstores such as Waldenbooks, Borders and even Barnes & Nobles.
What is different about these romance novels than traditional ones? Well at Ellorascave the authors use more adult language when describing sex and “intimate” body parts. This isn’t your grandmother’s romance but it soon might be. All together now….ewwwww.
Major publishers have noticed the money that can be made with these types of books and they have started planning their own lines of erotica and are trying to woo these others over to their sides. Avon is creating Avon Red label and Harlequin Romance plans to make Harlequin Spice.
