Books To Movies When Will It End

I turned on the tv yesterday and was unpleasantly surprised to see another book was being made into a movie. In this case it is the popular children’s series Nancy Drew. I can only hope they will do the novels justice and not make a stupid film because they think kids don’t know any better.

While I haven’t read those novels in years I do remember most of the books I read and I remember loving that series and a few others including The Babysitter’s Club series. That series was also turned into a movie which was absolutely dreadful and I was probably 15 or 16 when I saw it and hated it on sight.

I really do hope they realize their viewing audience aren’t complete morons but considering the way movies are and have been I wouldn’t hold my breath on that scenario.
