I’ve received responses to most of the agent queries I sent out last month, and now — since I’ve had no luck with the first batch — it’s time to send out the next one.
While I’m doing all this, I’m also trying to get my book proposal together (…something I should have done already). Once an interested agent contacts me, the book proposal is the thing I’ll need to send out ASAP, so it’s rather dumb of me not to have mine ready and waiting to go.
But it’s hard to write a book proposal. It combines many elements that I am not too familiar with. For instance, I don’t know much about marketing and promotion. I could talk for days about the book, but not how to put in front of those who’d like to buy it. That’ll take a lot more thought…
