Getting Published, part 4

Wow, A lot has happened since I last wrote.

First, I’ve received some positive feedback from three agents. All three emailed me on the same day (!) and asked to see my book proposal. It was very cool, but very unexpected.

Two of them wanted exclusivity, meaning that they wanted to be the only ones reviewing the proposal. This is apparently something that agents often request. (See what Miss Snark has to say about exclusivity.)

This ‘exclusivity’ thing made the process a little confusing for me, but what I ended up doing was sending the proposal to the first agent who responded and letting the others know what was going on.

I’ll hear later this week if the first agent wants to represent my book. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

    Congratulations, Nancy. That’s incredible!

I’d like to publish a book someday, but I might just go with self-publishing.
