Magic Number When you Buy Books…

Amazon’s super-secret customer service phone number is 800-201-7575. I heard it from a reliable source, Mir at WantNot.net. Write it down, save it in your GMail or just remember you saw it on Dealsneak. Mir says:

Have you ever had a problem with your order at Amazon? Probably you went through the site to contact them via email, and hopefully you got the help you needed. I find that they’re pretty good about addressing issues via email in a fairly timely manner.

But sometimes, wouldn’t you rather talk to a human on the phone? I know I would. Have you ever tried to find their phone number on the site? They would rather you email them, so they can deal with you on their time, in their terms. However, if you do manage to get customer service on the phone, they’re wonderful. Very responsive, courteous—all the things you wish for in customer relations.

Author Credits President Bush for Her Win

Kiran Desai gives credit for her winning The Man Booker Award to President George Bush. Desai says that while she has lived in NYC for 20 years, she still has yet to apply for American citizen ship because of her dislike of Pres. Bush and his policies. The book takes you through the life of some undocumented workers and shows how they are treated by “employers”, how they live and how they cope.
