This is a book about a 14 year old criminal mastermind and genius. Artemis is looking for a way to restore the Fowl fortunes and he thinks he’s found a way. Fairy treasure!
Artemis discovers a book, the fairy bible of sorts, and learns the way to get the treasure. He puts his plan into motion with the help of his bodyguard and best friend, Butler. Between the two of them, they capture a fairy but not just any fairy. He’s captured Captain Holly Short of the LEPrecon Unit and she is not about to let Artemis get the treasure with a fight.
But circumstances get out of hand and Holly, Artemis and Butler have to work together to get rid of a troll in Fowl manor. Holly gives Artemis one wish, which he uses to heal his mother. Holly is released and through his genius, Artemis gets a part of the fairy treasure, after all.
Artemis Fowl is written by Eoin Colfer and is the first in a series.
