Dan Brown is a classic writer. This is the book I have read in the shortest period of time. I finished it in one day.
I for one, is a believer of God. I studied in a Catholic school during my primary. Thus, in those years, I was taught on what the bible was about. Some 3 or 4 years ago, when I read this book, it shook me hard. I was completely shocked how the author had come up with such a twist of story.
This book really got me into digging about the history of my religion. I just couldn’t let go of the book. Every page contained a twist. To add, it makes me visualize how the things had happened. I had watched several religious movie to re-enact the history of Christ. And after reading this book, I began to think … nobody or maybe a few would have raised to ask what could be in the other side of the story. I think this book had the “other” side of the story.
Despite the huge public criticism on this book, it managed to become a bestseller. I think it made the people curious to find out the reason to be criticized. I think what this book would like to leave the judgement to its readers, whether to doubt or not to doubt on our faith.
I would like to recommend this book to those who haven’t tried but is curious to find out. It will renew you as a believer.
