A piece of cake

A Piece of cake was a very good book that I highly recommend for an excellent read. It is written by a woman named Cupcake Brown. The name is her real name believe it or not!
She wrote the book about her life story and it was very interesting. To give a summary, Cupcake Brown came from a broken home and she found her mother dead in her bedroom. Her father was never around, but he was awarded custody of she and her brother. He handed the two of them over to a foster parent and the foster parent really abused them. She ran away and lived with some cousins who lived in a bad neighborhood.
Cupcake Brown went thru a lot of trying times, joined a gang and could have easily become a statistic. To make a long story short, she ended up reconnecting with her mother’s brother got on the right track, went to college and became an attorney. Cupcake Brown is now a successful author and tours all over to promote her book.
It is enlightening to read about someone who had such a rough life growing up and was still able to come out of all of that trouble and become very successful!
