I liked this book. I read it fairly quickly, too. I started reading it in the waiting room somewhere and kept flipping the pages. I’ve done LA Weightloss and lost a good amount. However, they went out of business. Well, reading the basics of Southbeach Diet, I knew it was sort of similar, so I decided to check it out.
The book does a good job of incorporating personal stories that are inspiring and give good details on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I enjoyed reading the parts that basically said “IF you have to eat bad, eat this.” For example, if you have to have bread, at least put real butter on it so the fat slows down the sugars from absorbing in your body. I also found out fries are better for you than a baked potatoe!
I especially liked the recipes and I have to tell you, the olive oil marinade with spices for Tbone steaks was SO delicous I use it on all kinds of meats now! I lost 10 lbs almost instantly when starting this diet.
