I’m so SICK of hearing people say “The book was so much better, the movie didn’t do it justice.” Well, do you know how hard it is to produce a movie? Do you know the cost it takes to write a book? Movies are harder to do, and harder to impress people with. Writers can write whatever they want. What an author can do is much different than a movie producer can do.
So to those people, I say “Watch the movie first, then”. I get double the pleasure, excitement, thrill and suspense when I do it this way. I love waiting for the new Harry Potter MOVIE to come out. I watch it and I am not aware of what is going to happen next. I love that. (and I hate spoilers by the way) Then I pick up the book and relive it all over again, but this time with even MORE goodies that lets my imagination run wild.
Next time you are complaining about this, I say, watch the movie first. You get double the fun.
