I loved the book “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle. The book is a children’s classic.
We meet a caterpillar who does not get full from eating through a leaf. So he eats through other items, such as oranges, pears, strawberries, cake, ice cream, watermelon, a pickle, and lots of other goodies. In the end he has a stomach ache and makes a cacoon for himself to sleep. Then we see the caterpillar change into a beautiful butterfly.
This book is perfect for children to teach them how a caterpillar turns into a butterfly. It is also good for counting as well and talking about what are healthy foods to eat and how eating too many bad foods can make you sick.
This illustrations in this book are very colorful and bright. Carle did an excellent job on this story. Your children will want to read it again and again. And you will not mind since it is such a cute story.
