“Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do you See?” is a great book. It is by Bill Martin Jr. The pictures in this book are very colorful and nice, and very well done.
This book really holds my children’s attention, and they want to hear it all the time. It is a great story about what each animal sees. Each animal is also teaching the children their colors, such as the brown bear, the yellow duck, the purple horse, white dog, etc. Children will want to tell you the animal that is coming next, so you will know that they are paying attention.
Children will be promoted to read with this book as well. After hearing the story a few times, they can look at the pictures and “read” it themselves. This makes them all the more interested in learning to read, which I think is great. Great literacy skills are learned.
