Malice

The book “Malice” by Danielle Steele is very very powerful. If you can not tolerate reading about abuse, then this book is not for you. It is full of abuse and makes me feel fortunate to have lived the life that I have lived.
Grace Adams is not that lucky. She has had a horrible life. Abuse for her started when she was only13 years old. Her mother was diagnosed with cancer and Grace is forced to sleep with her father to make up for the absence of her mother. Grace is forced to have sex with her father for 4 years, until her mother dies. Grace then pulls a gun on her father and attacks him. She goes to jail and the abuse continues there, and even after she gets out of jail she is abused.
I had sympathy for Grace. How horrible that kind of life would be. Family is suppose to be there for you, not abuse you. While this was not one of my favorites by Steele, it still ranks pretty high.
