If you have any preschool boys, they are bound to love the book “mighty Machines- Cars” by Ian Graham. It is put out by QEB publishing. There are bold words throughout the book that are defined in the glossary in the back of the book, which I thought was great.
This book explains the job of a car and the different types of cars there are today, such as a hybrid or a compact car. The photos are great. Children would just love to look at all the photos if they could not read. The book also lends to some great questions by their wondering minds. They want to read the book over and over, which is great for fostering literacy.
There is a section on race cars and an off road section that my preschoolers loved. The book is 24 pages and includes an index in the back of the book.
