“Mighty Machines- Motorcycles” by Ian Graham is a book that will hold the interest of preschool boys who love any thing to do with motorcycles. The book is 24 pages long and is published by QEB publishing.
Included in this book is a glossary at the end of the book, which I find very handy. When my preschoolers want to know what something means I flip to the back of the book and am able to explain to them better, since I am not motorcycle inclined.
The book explains what a cycle is and includes motorcycles, mountain bikes, bicycles, superbikes, scooters, quads, and motocross. Children will love the photos that are in this book. My children were especially interested in the hand cycles. An index is included at the end of the book as well.
The boys really like this book because they are in their glory to see all the great cycles that they see on tv. They asks some neat questions and are really ready to learn about the bikes. It is a great way to promote reading.
