If your child is naturally curious, and is fascinated with dinosaurs, then any or all of these books may be right for them. Here is a list of four dinosaur-related books for children.
A Dinosaur Named Sue-This book tells about the discovery and later museum showing of a nearly complete Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton in 1990. This book would probably be good for 9-12 year olds.
Dinosaurs-Part of the Eye-Opener series, this book is geared toward three and four year olds, with its bright colors, big pictures and simple text. If your preschooler is a dinosaur fan, this is the book for you.
National Geographic Dinosaurs- This book has extraordinarily detailed paintings of dinosaurs, and it has maps, charts, and a lot of other information. Good for school research, and probably better for older children.
Danny and the Dinosaur-A boy visits the local museum, and one of the dinosaurs in the exhibit comes to life, and they have a day of fun together. First issued in 1958, it has been a step to reading for many children.
Whatever your child’s age, there is a dinosaur book for them.
