A Children’s Book about Teasing

If you have children that pick on each other all the time, then this book is for you. It is entitled “A Children’s Book about Teasing” and it is by Joy Berry. It is part of the a help me be good book.
TJ and his sister Tami talk about how teasing and how it may hurt someone feelings. The book helps understand why people tease and how we can deal with it. The book talks about teasing how you look, how you think and feel, what you like and don’t like. It tells you the normal feelings you may have when you are upset by the teasing and explains to children why it is not a good idea to tease.
I find this book helpful to read to young preschoolers when they are very impressionable. The more we read it, the less we see teasing and that is always helpful. I think reading these books has helped.

It’s good to have a book about this finally! Too many kids are being bullied. Especially these days!
I think I’m going to have to check this one out real quick! I’m so glad I stumbled upon this review. Thank you!

We bought a book recently by Charlotte Cowan, called The Moose With Loose Poops.
The title of this story makes you smile, and you just keep smiling until the end. What a team: the pediatrician author goes after a tough subject with kindness and clarity; and the illustrator fills the pages with warmth and humor. Wow!

My parents read Joy’s books to me when I was a kid. I liked them then and wanted to have them with my own kids. I only found used copies and incomplete series until a friend turned me on to her new website http://www.joyberrybooks.com. I just purchased the Teach me about series for my kids and can’t wait to read the books to them. Hooray Joy!
