Five Little Monkeys with Nothing to Do is by Eileen Christelow. The Five little monkeys are bored so mama tells them that Grandma Bessie is coming and she likes a clean house. So they pick up their room, but then are still bored. So mama tells them to scrub the bathroom and then to beat the rugs. The house is looking great. She asks them to pick berries as well for dessert, so they run to pick berries until mama calls them to come home and wash their faces. As they run through the house they make a mess and mess up the bathroom as well while they are washing their faces. Grandma Bessie comes and they run outside to see her and tell her they cleaned the house just for her. They open the door and long behold the house is messy again and the five little monkeys can not figure out who would have messed up the house.
