Amazon has decided to offer yet another free ebook to be sent directly to your Kindle via Whispernet. I can’t pass up a free fiction book! So I downloaded The Babysitter’s Code, getting ready to read a novel. Much to my surprise, this was actually a very short story. I think I finished the “book” under 10 or 15 minutes total. Even though it was a short piece of fiction, it kept me, the reader, locked in.
I kept wanting to know what came next and the author painted the images very clearly so you could imagine the story happening. It was sad that it was such a short story, however, because I really wanted to know what happened next! So much was left out but I guess that was the “beauty” of it, leave the reader asking for more.
This is understandable since she published this under a collection of various short stories. So why not download it, its free after all, that is, if you have a Kindle. And I sure do love my Kindle!
