im an obvious fan and a collector of some of dc comics titles, particularly the JLA – justice league of america. its prime characters are some of the most iconic super heroes ever, the trinity of superman, batman and wonder woman. these three represent different characters and aspects of real life, but the bottomline will always be the same, peace, justice and the american way (for some, the american dream). if you are a marvel fan, then you already knows the difference between the dc’s JLA and marvel’s the avenger, or if you like, the x-men. notice the powers possessed by the marvel superheroes are mostly used for hurting enemies, for destruction of properties, etc. take for example, wolverine, who not only hurt but actually kills his prey. thats the purpose of his claws, adamantium or not. how bout the punisher? we all know his methods. iron man? just the same, brute force coming from a so-called billionaire genius huh. spiderman? hmm now thats a great character. try cyclops, optic blast? what? and storm? not even close. how bout the fantastic four’s (my fave marvel group) human torch? burn baby burn!
so why bother with marvel comics? is it the violence? (plenty) the bloody graphics? (very good) the storyline? (boring) what? you can always choose.
