I just got finished reading The Alchemist by Michael Scott. It was a fairly easy and very enjoyable book to read. I was very happy I got this book for free at the Amazon Kindle store online. Now it costs nearly $10 and so do the sequels.
What I liked about it is all the hard work and research the author put into mythological stories, creatures, etc. I really learned a lot about ancient times and histories. It is really cool to see it all fit together in a way I’ve never really heard about before. It makes me realize how much mythology there is out there and how little of it I really know.
His fictional addition of the twins is absolutely perfect. The characters he chose overall makes the book great. I really cannot wait to get my hands on the next book of the series, The Magician. I can see my hard earned money being spent on every single book in the series now, lol!
Very good book for young adults and anyone interested in mythology and adventure! Check it out!
