A preschool teacher should add the Crayons and Markers: Artistic Creations, one of a Kind and Made by you book by Imogen Forte to their resource collection. this wonderful book has 80 pages including an index. It is part of the tabletop learning series collection.
The book showcases different ways to use crayons and makers from using them with stencils to a magazine collage.
One of my favorite activities is the Rub-a-dub-dub. In this the children take a crayon and rub over an object with the crayon holding a piece of paper over it so they get an imprint. My preschoolers did this the other day and they loved it. It really kept them entertained for atleast 15 minutes if not more.
I also like the idea of color on cloth. It really is a neat idea that could make a great gift for someone special.
This book helps children express their creativity with markers and crayons.
