Nature’s Crafts: Simple Pleasures with Natureal Treasures by Imogene Forte is a good book for the preschool teacher. It is 80 pages long and has an index. The book shows how to make a moss wreath or even a birds nest. One page shows how to make cone creatures out of pincones, which are very delightful. The turtle one is my favorite and the owl is neat.
The book shows how to paint with sand and different ways that sea shells that you find on the beach can be used around the home. For example you could use them as a potporri holder or a soap dish.
I love the sea shell mobile as well and the beach in a jar is a neat idea. Children will have lots of fun making all of the crafts in this book and learning about nature all at the same time. It is a wonderful book to add to your collection.
