Glenn Meade is an Irish novelist of repute, having established his fame for writing master thrillers through novels such as The Sands of Sakkara and Snow Wolf. Resurrection Day is one such book.
The plot centers around the world’s most wanted terrorist holding to ransom the United States of America. The terrorist begins a daring siege that brings alive America’s worst nightmare, and a slepper terrorist cell is all set to unleash a terrifying new weapon of mass destruction in the very heart of Washington, guaranteed to decimate Washington and the United States to stone age, and tear apart the Soviet Federation.
The terrorist has given a deadline of seven days and in desperation, the United States and Russia launch a joint plan to track down the terrorists and neutralise their threat. The manhunt is led by Jack Collins, FBI’s counter terrorist expert and Alexei Kursk, Russia’s top investigator. For both of them, the hunt is personal, for the terrorist has crossed their path before.
Though Resurrection Day does not reach the stage of gripping adventure and nail biting suspense of Glenn Meade’s earlier works such as The Sands and Sakkara and Snow Wolf, the books remains an extremely good thriller novel in its own right and has become a best seller.
