If you have HBO surely you have heard of the show True Blood. Its an amazingly delicious show full of vampires, werewolf’s and more. Think Twilight for the adult scene. But did you know that the series is based on a book series? Yes its true. So if you’re behind on the news then check out the Southern Vampire Series aka the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris. As always the book is much more detailed than a tv show could ever be so you can learn all the little secrets that you’ve been dying to know about the fictional town of Bon Temps Louisiana and all its inhabitants. Also it’s a way to get your True Blood fix while the show is on hiatus until the next season. There are more characters, more suspense and more excitement to look forward to. Although the show does not follow the books exactly it is a good reference to find out what is going to happen next to the blonde barmaid Sookie Stackhouse and all her friends and foes. So whether you go to a library, a book store(amazon.com has great deals for the books) or borrow them from a friend, check out the Southern Vampire Series and get up close an personal with a little True Blood.
