Deception Point – Dan Brown

I am really into Dan Brown’s novels, and I read most of his books, including his famous “The da Vinci Code” which has sparked a worldwide outcry among Catholics worldwide for its allegations against the Roman Catholic Church. We will talk about that later, what i want to tell is my review of his thriller novel “Deception Point”.

In all of his novels Dan Brown always claims that all of the institutions and technologies in his books were facts, which is really intriguing. The story of the “Deception Point” is set on a surprising NASA discovery of a massive meteorite trapped in the icecapsof Greenland. There after scrutiny by world’s top scientists, they verified that it was a genuine meteorite and in their surprise, contains signs of life; glowing phytoplankton and a fossil of a 2 – foot long mite which they recognize as “extraterrestrial”.

The thriller here is the chain of events, includes the pursuit of elite American Delta Force operatives to the main character Rachel Sexton, and her colleagues. The connection of the meteorite “discovery” to the ailing and underfunded NASA and the fore coming U.S presidential elections, and its links to little known american government agencies such as National Security Agency (NSA) and National Reconnaissance Office which has its own sinister motives that makes the title of the novel the “Deception Point”.

I am pretty sure that reading the novel will make you ravish chapter after chapter. Just a bit of advice, please do first verify the information you read before believing it or you may end up supporting our conspiracy guys’ theories out there. Please don’t be a sucker like them.
